How does a waste baler work?

Waste balers are easy to use, they operate largely automatically, and they are an investment for years, because serviced they will serve the company for a very long time, and the amortization of the costs incurred for their purchase is very fast.

A baler operates on a similar principle to a baler. After placing a certain amount of waste in a special chamber, it is crushed with the help of a pressing plate acting with great force. After a while, what has been put into the chamber is compacted until it reaches the optimum, i.e. smallest possible volume, after which it is ejected from the chamber in the form of a compacted bale. The pressing plate presses the waste with a force ranging from 3 to as much as 50 tons.

Which baler for film and waste paper?

When thinking of buying a baler for a company, one should, of course, be guided primarily by the type, quantity and volume of waste produced in the company, but also by the area of available waste storage space. In smaller companies that produce waste from cardboard or foil, small balers with less pressing force will work well, where harder waste is produced, a baler with much greater pressing force will be useful. The degree of automation is also important. It is possible to choose an automatic baler in which the operator merely places raw materials or removes finished bales from the discharge line. Another option is a semi-automatic machine, in which the worker must wait until the raw materials are compacted and then manually bundle them and remove them from the machine. In addition, one can opt for single-chamber and multi-chamber balers. All three versions of balers that Stalmark offers - the single-chamber Komfort BS 1 baler, the double-chamber BS 2 baler and the Komfort BS 3 baler - operate at pressures ranging from 4 to 4.5 tons and can be a versatile way to reduce waste in small, slightly larger and even quite large enterprises.

What is a baler

The simplest way to get rid of excess waste would be to reduce its production. Only that for many companies this is completely unrealistic. For how would the goods get to the markets and stores without packaging? Impossible! Meanwhile, a pile of cardboard boxes, foil, plastic packaging, etc., grows after each delivery, and their storage and disposal becomes a problem. In such a situation, when it is impossible to reduce the amount of waste, you can significantly reduce its volume. And this is what a baler is for. Many large markets and stores, but also other enterprises invest in the purchase of a baler, because it simply pays off. With a baler it is easier to store waste and free up storage space, and it is also easier and cheaper to transport waste.

A reliable way to waste

A baler works by compressing waste into bales that take up much less space. Although there are many types and kinds of balers - they have different capacities, pressing forces, differ in the size and weight of bales compacted, the way they are assembled and operated, and the range of materials that can be compacted. So what can be compacted in a baler? Virtually any model can accommodate paper, cardboard, plastics, film, PET bottles, textiles, polystyrene, organic waste, larger balers can also compact aluminum and steel cans, hard plastic, steel drums and other hard materials such as wooden crates.

The baler compacts waste, reducing its volume from a few percent to as much as 90 percent when crushing, for example, film.
