Impact of coronavirus pandemic on Clean Poiwetra program
Coronavirus pandemic will delay changes to Clean Air Program
The coronavirus pandemic raging around the world is affecting many aspects of our daily functioning. One of these elements is the delay in the entry into force of the new version of the government's Clean Air program. Piotr Woźny, president of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, announced that we will know the new date for the changes after Easter.
So, at the moment, the arrangements from the previous, first iteration of this important government program are still in place. The new rules are to be much simpler - less bureaucracy has been put on the table, which means filling out the application will be more intuitive and simple. Its evaluation time is to be reduced to 30 days.
Another novelty will be the introduction of banks into the program, where applications can also be submitted. They will have a shorter processing time - the provincial environmental protection fund will have 14 days to do so. The National Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund wants to encourage local governments to help fill out applications and intensify promotion of the program. Thus, it will pay the local government PLN 100 for each jointly completed application.
