Due to the current anti-smog resolutions in Poland, owners of single-family houses and multi-family buildings must expect to replace their old heating boilers.
The regulations cover classless furnaces, as well as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th class boilers that do not meet modern emission standards. ** Failure to replace them by the deadline could result in a fine or even a ban on using the device.
If you are using a pellet stove that is not ecodesign certified or does not meet Class 5 requirements, you may also be subject to mandatory heating system upgrades.
Why do you need to replace an old furnace or boiler?
** Anti-smog laws are aimed at reducing emissions of harmful particulate matter and improving air quality in Poland.** Old boilers, especially those of classless and lower class (1-4), are responsible for much of the air pollution, especially during the heating season.
